Susan Fraser
Membership & Corresponding Secretary
Susan Fraser is the Corresponding Secretary of the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild and also manages guild memberships. Susan has been beading for about 25 years and was inspired to start after wanting to create jewelry to wear and share.
Susan has been a member of the guild for 12 years, and first got involved through a fellow beader named Donna who introduced her to the GLBG. Susan's favorite part of being a member is sharing ideas, improving her beading skills, taking classes, and socializing with fellow beaders.
Susan has developed many lasting friendships with fellow beaders through the GLBG. She encourages current and future members to take advantage of the guild as a resource for answers to beading questions and an opportunity to meet great people who share an interest in creating beautiful beaded designs.
In addition to beading, Susan enjoys sewing, knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and spending time at her small cottage on the AuTrain river in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Susan taught science for 37 years at Andover High School. Her dedication to teaching and learning is evident in her involvement with the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild.
