Thank you for checking us out!

Welcome to the Great Lakes Beadworkers Guild (GLBG), where beads are more than just objects with a hole, but highly suspect of having individual personalities.

Founded in 1992 in Royal Oak, Michigan, we are a non-profit organization of about 300 members in Southeast Michigan who meet at least monthly in meetings and classes to learn more about all aspects of beadwork.

Maker Faire

Join us for beading fun in our Maker Faire booth "Beadify Your World" at Maker Faire Detroit!

Saturday and Sunday ~ JULY 26 & 27, 2014

This is the Guild's 4th year to participate at Maker Faire Detroit! Come see what everyone is up to this year; new technology, kooky techno, experimental bicycles, craft & hobby groups, Makers of all kinds, much more to see and do and it's just plain fun, fun, fun!

For information on our meeting location, please click on the "Exhibits" button link.

Join us twice a year for our always popular bead show, the Bead Bonanza, a one-day bead show and sale to keep bead coffers in the area well filled. With 50 (or more vendors) in one location, the Bead Bonanza is open to the public and is a great day for bead lovers everywhere to gather, gaze, and purchase.

At the monthly meetings, we have a lending library where GLBG members may borrow books and bead-related videos.

For information on our meeting location, please click on the "Meeting and Location Info" button link.
