Beaded Iris Pendant/Brooch

Learn basic tambour embroidery using a fantastic hand-dyed silk embroidery floss and hen learn how to add sequins and beads! Please note – tambour requires a preknowledge of crochet since tambour is basically crochet on fabric. HOWEVER, it’s important to know that while teaching this class, I also teach an embroidery stitch that pretty much looks identical to crocheted tambour. So, even if you can’t crochet, you can take this class. Just buy the kit without the tambour needle option. Use tambour or chain stitch techniques and bead embroidery. Students should be comfortable with threading a needle and doing basic bead embroidery. If you want to try the “true” tambour embroidery, please be comfortable with doing basic crochet work, otherwise pick the “faux” tambour option.

The class is limited to 15 students.

Basic Kit: $90 (please specify purple or pink & orange)

Tambour Needle Addition - $20 (for a total of $110) You’ll need some sort of embroidery hoop holder for this that either stands on a table or clamps to a table. I usually use a rotating ball vice I get from Amazon for $20. If you have a freestanding embroidery hoop holder, that will work, too. Options and links will be sent out to students prior to class.
